Motherboard faults we repair
These are the symptoms that usually mean the fault is on the board rather than in a replaceable part.
Completely dead, no lights
No response to the power button and no charging light. We measure the power rails in sequence to find where the voltage stops.
Powers on but no display
Fans spin and lights come on but the screen stays black on both the laptop panel and an external monitor. That points to the graphics circuit or a board power rail, not the screen.
Short circuit after a spill
Liquid bridges tracks and corrodes pads. We strip the board, ultrasonically clean it, replace corroded components and rebuild damaged tracks.
Dead USB, HDMI or Type-C ports
Ports that stop working, or a Type-C port that no longer charges. Usually a burnt protection component or a lifted port, both repairable.
Not charging at all

Liquid damage: what to do in the first hour
Switch the laptop off by holding the power button, disconnect the charger, and do not press power again to see if it still works. Every time the board is powered with liquid inside, corrosion accelerates and more components are lost.
Turn the laptop upside down like an open tent so liquid drains away from the board, do not use a hairdryer, and do not put it in rice. Bring it to us as soon as possible. Boards seen within 24 hours have a far higher success rate and a much lower repair cost than boards that were left for a week.
