Screen symptoms and what they usually mean
Not every display fault needs a new panel. This is the single biggest reason people overpay elsewhere, so we always check first.
Cracked or shattered glass
Physical damage from a drop or pressure on the lid. The panel needs replacing. If the frame and hinges are intact we fit a panel only, which is much cheaper than a full assembly.
Lines, bands or half the screen
Usually a damaged panel, but sometimes a loose or pinched display cable. We test with an external monitor first, because a cable fix can cost a fraction of a panel.
Blank screen but the laptop is on
