Do you charge for diagnosis?
No. Diagnosis is free for both laptops and MacBooks, and there is no obligation to proceed. If we cannot repair the machine, you pay nothing for the diagnosis.
What is chip-level repair and why does it matter?
Chip-level repair means finding the individual component, connector or power rail that failed on the motherboard and replacing it under magnification, rather than replacing the entire board. It typically costs 25 to 50 per cent of a board replacement and is often the only option for older models where boards are no longer available.
How long will my repair take?
Software, battery, keyboard and storage work is usually same day. Screens take one to three days. Motherboard, logic board and liquid damage work takes two to five days because the board needs cleaning, repair and proper testing.
Will my data be safe?
Yes. We never format any drive without your written permission and we can take a backup before we start. If a drive is failing we recover your files first.
Do you give a warranty?
Yes, up to 90 days on the specific part replaced and on our workmanship, written on your job sheet rather than only spoken.
Do you provide GST invoices?
Yes. Every job can be invoiced with GST along with a service report, which most of our business and CA-firm customers need for their asset records.
My laptop got wet. What should I do right now?
Switch it off immediately, do not connect the charger and do not power it on to check. Keep it inverted like an open tent and bring it in as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours, because corrosion damage is time-based.
Is it worth repairing an old laptop or MacBook?
Often yes. An SSD upgrade or a battery gives an older machine several more usable years for a fraction of a replacement. When the repair cost approaches half the price of a comparable second-hand unit, we will tell you it is not worth it.
