Migrating from Tally ERP 9 to TallyPrime
Migration itself is usually straightforward. What goes wrong is everything around it: nobody takes a verified backup first, the data folder ends up in two places, custom print formats and TDL customisations are forgotten, and afterwards nobody checks whether the balances still match.
We do it in a fixed order. Take and test a backup, note existing customisations, migrate a copy rather than the live data, compare trial balance, stock summary and outstanding receivables before and after, and only then move everyone onto the new setup. If you have TDL customisations, we identify them before migration so you are not surprised by a missing report on Monday morning.
Multi-user and multi-branch setups
A TallyPrime Gold licence lets several people work on the same company data over your office network, but it only works smoothly if the data sits on one properly shared machine with the right permissions and a reliable backup. We set that up, including the folder path, network share, firewall rules and per-user rights.
If your team needs access from home or from a second branch, we will talk you through the practical options, including Tally remote access with an active TSS, or hosting the data so branches connect to a single copy. We will also tell you plainly when a simpler setup is enough, rather than selling you infrastructure you do not need.

Will we lose data or customisations when migrating to TallyPrime?
Your data migrates intact. TDL customisations and custom print formats are the thing to watch, so we identify them before migration and tell you what will need rebuilding rather than letting you discover it later.
How do I set up TallyPrime for multiple users?
You need a TallyPrime Gold licence, the company data stored on one shared machine or server, correct network sharing and permissions, and per-user rights. We configure all of that, including the backup, and test each user connecting.
Can TallyPrime be accessed from home or another branch?
Yes. With an active TSS you can use Tally remote access, or you can host the data so branches connect to a single copy. We will recommend whichever genuinely fits your team size and budget.
Our Tally company data is corrupt. Can you fix it?
In most cases yes. We work on a copy, run the appropriate repair, and verify balances against your last known-good backup before handing it back. If the file cannot be repaired we move to data recovery.
Is installation free if we buy the licence from you?
Yes. Basic installation, activation and company setup is included when you purchase your TallyPrime licence through Apex52.
