Silver or Gold: which TallyPrime do you need?
This is the question we are asked most, and getting it wrong is expensive in both directions.
Choose Silver if
Only one person uses Tally at a time, on one computer. Most proprietorships, small traders and single-accountant offices are Silver customers and never need more.
Choose Gold if
Two or more people need to work in Tally at the same time over your office network. Billing plus accounts, or accounts plus stores, almost always means Gold.
Consider the rental plan if
Cash flow matters more than long-term cost, or the business is new and you want to start small. It converts to a monthly subscription instead of a one-time purchase.
Do not forget TSS
Whichever you buy, TSS is what delivers statutory and GST updates, remote access and support. Budget for it annually from the start.
Upgrading later is possible
You are not stuck. Silver can be upgraded to Gold, and we will work out whether upgrading or renewing makes more sense for your team size.
Multiple companies are fine
One licence handles multiple companies in Tally. The licence is about simultaneous users, not about how many businesses you account for.

The Silver and Gold perpetual licences do not expire. What expires annually is TSS, the subscription that provides product updates, statutory and GST changes, remote access and support.
